GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County deputies said a GPS tracker installed on a missing car led them right to it.

Deputy Drew Pinciaro said the car's owner lost his keys and had gone to the dealership to get new ones when they gave him some bad news.

"They had GPS on it and they pulled it up and it showed the car was in motion and traveling," Pinciaro said.

Pinciaro said the GPS helped pinpoint the car at the MM Mart on Easley Bridge Road.

The owner of the store showed FOX Carolina surveillance video that showed the car pulling up and a man getting out and coming into the store.

Deputies identified the driver as David Williams, 30.

The owner said deputies came into the store and asked customers to stay inside while they reviewed surveillance video to see who the driver of the stolen car was.

The owner said Williams was arrested about 30 minutes after deputies got on scene.

Pinciaro said the driver of the stolen car decided not to press charges after getting it back but he said Williams was found with marijuana and was driving with a suspended license.
