LAURENS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Fountain Inn man was denied bond on a murder charge stemming from a Halloween night shooting at a home in Enoree, FOX Carolina crews learned in court on Thursday.

Deputies responded to the shooting at a home on River Hill Road in Enoree on Oct. 31 and found the victim, 61-year-old Johnny Lee Cheeks, and 46-year-old David Lee Walker with gunshot wounds, the sheriff's office said.

Both men were brought to the hospital and Cheeks died of his injuries the next day, according to the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office announced on Dec. 11 that Walker has been charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and felon in possession of a firearm. They said he is being held at the Johnson Detention Center.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Laurens County Sheriff's Office at 864-984-4967, or Crime Stoppers at 864-68-CRIME.
