Both men were brought to the hospital and Cheeks died of his injuries the next day, according to the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office announced on Dec. 11 that Walker has been charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and felon in possession of a firearm. They said he is being held at the Johnson Detention Center.
