High pressure sits over the southeast today, keeping us in the pattern of clear skies. Highs will be a bit cooler than average reaching the upper 40s Upstate and near 40° in Western NC. A northwesterly breeze will keep us feeling even cooler than that all day. Overnight, clear skies drop temperatures back into the 20s area-wide.
Friday starts with some sunshine, but by lunchtime the clouds will start to move back in. Expecting to stay dry through the daytime hours, highs reach the middle 40s to 50°. Late Friday night, a rain/snow mix enters Western NC, with rain showers moving into the Upstate by 5am. Rain becomes likely for everyone throughout the day Saturday, even becoming heavy at times. Highest elevations of WNC could continue to see a rain/snow mix, but with highs in the 40s for all, we're not at this point looking at much accumulation.
Saturday night continues to be wet, but rain moves out of our area by Sunday, leaving us with a great end to the weekend, but staying cool in the 40s.
