UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Union County deputies said a Blacksburg man stole $60,000 worth of parts from his Upstate employer, and sold the parts at a scrapyard.

Deputies said Preferred Finishing's Jonesville office contacted them about the fraud after learning Kevin Bolin would return to the building after everyone had left in order to steal metals and electric motors.

According to the deputy's report, Bolin would sell the items at a Blacksburg scrapyard. Deputies said a total of 11 separate thefts were reported, valued at $60,786.

The company has recovered $15,000 items so far, deputies said.

Bolin was arrested in Cherokee County on Wednesday and is being held on charges in addition to Union County's charges. Deputies said Bolin faces charges of 10 counts of grand larceny and one count of petit larceny.

Preferred Finishing is based in Blackburg with an office in Jonesville, according to deputies. Their website said they manufacture Firewall Barriers for upholstered furniture.
