SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg County deputies said a man is wanted after he stormed into a friend's apartment and fired shots, upset about Facebook messages sent to his girl.

Deputies said they were first called to the victim's apartment after someone was beating on their door and yelling for him to come out and fight. According to the sheriff's office report, the victim said the man began screaming that he was messaging the suspect's girl on Facebook.

The man left and then a little later, deputies said they were called back out after he kicked the door open and forced his way inside the home.

Deputies said after the suspect kicked the door open, a woman and kids inside ran and hid while the victim ran from the suspect. The man chased the victim, stabbed something into the door and fired his gun as the victim dove out of the way, according to the report. The suspect then ran away, deputies said.

The victim said he was friends with the suspect since they did time in jail together, according to the report.

Deputies said they saw muddy boot prints on the door, with the door frame lying on the ground, blood on a wall - though none of the victims were injured - saw a cut in the bedroom door, and a bullet hole in the wall.

According to the report, warrants were signed for attempted murder and first-degree burglary for the suspect, identified as Raymond Holmes, 33.

According to online jail records, Holmes has yet to be arrested.
