Mauldin family offers a free holiday lights display through Jan. 1

MAULDIN, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An Upstate house that is decorated with 300,000 Christmas lights and decorations is open to the public for free tours.

The home on Shearbrook Drive in Mauldin also offers hot chocolate and popcorn.

Visitors can drive by the display or park their cars and tour the property. 

Home owner Tony Smith said people are welcome to visit between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Sunday - Thursday. Hours are extended from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. from Friday - Saturday.

Donations are accepted, but it's free to tour the Christmas display through January 1.
