FOREST CITY, NC (FOX Carolina) -

A woman has been arrested after a Dollar General was robbed in Forest City, NC on Tuesday, the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office said in a release.

At 3:40 p.m. the suspect went into the Oakland Road store and showed what appeared to be a gun and demanded money, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies said the cashier gave the woman the money and the suspect left the store.

Officers then put out a "be-on-the-lookout" for the suspect and her vehicle. April Lynn Ratliff, 37, was apprehended a short time later, deputies said.

Deputies said Ratliff will be charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Officials with the Rutherford County Sheriff's office said another arrest was made in the case on Wednesday after an ongoing investigation.

Melissa Stevens Ramsey, 41, was charged with common law robbery and accessory after the fact in connection to the case, deputies said.
