GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A 15-year-old was pulled from a burning truck in a single-vehicle accident that shut down a major road in Greenville on Thursday evening.

Tigerville Road at Bellevue Road closed after the truck struck a tree and caught fire after 5 p.m., according to North Greenville fire officials.

Officials at the scene said the truck also struck a power pole, which brought the lines down on top of the truck, catching it on fire.

Passers-by stopped and pulled the victim from the burning truck, officials said.

The victim was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital with no life-threatening injuries, according to troopers. They said he was wearing his seatbelt.

Highway patrol said there are no charges at this time.
