CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

In a statement released Thursday, Franklin Graham, the son of 95-year-old Rev. Billy Graham, said he stands with Phil Robertson, star of A&E's "Duck Dynasty," after Robertson's controversial comments on homosexuality.

"Phil Robertson's desire is to see all men and women repent," said Graham. "This is my desire too."

"We live in a culture that openly supports and promotes sin against God. While Phil Robertson is not anyone's judge—God is, and will judge all sin. Jesus Christ came to this earth to save sinners, which includes me," he went on to say.

Graham also praised the Robertson family's "commitment to biblical values, and that they have not backed down in a politically-correct world that is tolerant of everything except biblical standards and values."

"I pray that we would be a nation where we can disagree civilly while holding firm convictions," Graham said.

"Everything is blurred on what's right and what's wrong. Sin becomes fine," Robertson said in an interview with GQ magazine.

"Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men," Robertson went on to say.

"Don't be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers — they won't inherit the kingdom of God. Don't deceive yourself. It's not right," Robertson said.

A&E has suspended Robertson from the popular show, and the family has threatened to quit over the suspension.
