CHICOPEE, MA (WSHM) -

An eight-month-old baby boy, his mother and two-year-old brother were all struck by a vehicle as they crossed Memorial Drive on Friday, shortly after 6 p.m.

CBS 3 media partner Mass Live and The Republican reported that the eight-month-old is listed in critical condition with head injuries at Baystate Medical Center.

The two-year-old was listed in stable condition and held for observation overnight, while the mother treated for bruises and shoulder injury before being released.

While the investigation continued, police said it was unclear if the three were crossing the road in a crosswalk.

According to the paper, the female driver of the vehicle remained on the scene to give a statement to police.

No charges have been filed against the driver and the incident remains under investigation.
