Posted: Updated:
PROSPERITY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Newberry County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing law enforcement K9 and his companion dog.

The K9 is from another agency, but the owner/handler is a Newberry County resident.

The dogs were last seen on Duck Bill Road (off Church Hill Landing, off Bethel Church Road, in Prosperity, SC) after a tree fell on the fence, which allowed them to run away.

The law enforcement K9 is a male, black German Shepherd, weighing 85 pounds.

The dog answers to Baruck and will come if he is called.

His female companion is a brown Belgian Malinois who answers to the name Sydney.

The dogs should be together.

If anyone has any information or sees the dogs, please contact the Newberry County Sheriff's Office at 803-321-2222.
