Merry Christmas Eve! We're starting the holiday cooler-than-average, and we'll stay that way for a day or two before warming back up. Today, expect decreasing clouds, with fully sunny skies by lunchtime. Highs reach near 50 Upstate, but in Western NC, temperatures stay COLD in the mid-30s. Expect a breeze Upstate, but gusty winds and overall blustery conditions push into the mountains today. Overnight, clear skies stick around with the breeziness, lows drop into the mid-20s Upstate and to the upper teens in Western NC. I hope Santa bundles up!
Christmas Day is looking beautiful as well, with sunny skies and highs reaching the low to mid-40s for everyone. There will still be a breeze in the mountains, though not quite as strong, and winds should stay on the lighter side Upstate.
The rest of the week is also looking great! Sunny skies through Saturday, with highs slowly warming each day. We'll see the upper 40s and low 50s Thursday and Friday, and Saturday everyone jumps back into the 50s. A few clouds end the weekend on Sunday, with highs in the low to mid-50s. Have a great holiday!!
