ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A shooting that injured a 17-year-old girl in Anderson is being ruled accidental by the sheriff's office.

Anderson Co. Sheriff's Office Lt. Sheila Cole told FOX Carolina that the girl is expected to survive after being shot at a home on Wren Way near Centerville Road.

Cole said the 17-year-old victim was in the home with a friend when she was accidentally shot in the back. Cole said the girl's friend had the gun out and at some point it went off and struck the girl.

No charges are expected at this time, Cole said.
