GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Deputies said three suspects are in custody after SWAT was called to assist the Greenville County Sheriff's Office warrants division on Monday.
Jonathan Smith of the sheriff's office said the warrants division was out looking for several people on outstanding warrants when they got a strong smell of marijuana near a home on Burbank Drive, off of South Fairfield Road.
Deputies then got a search warrant and when they showed up two of the three people took off running and were caught, the sheriff's office said.
The third person remained in the house and SWAT was called as a precautionary measure because one of the suspects had prior weapons charges, according to the sheriff's office.
FOX Carolina crews on the scene said SWAT arrived at 5:40 p.m. and they tried to communicate with the suspect. The suspect was brought out of the house just after 6 p.m.
The suspects names are not being released at this time, the sheriff's office said.
