An armed robbery caught on camera at a Spartanburg County gas station helped deputies make an arrest in the case.

On Dec. 14, Spartanburg County deputies said a man entered the BP gas station on New Cut Road, demanding the clerk dump the cash drawers into a bag at gunpoint.

Deputies released surveillance video of the suspect a few days later and were able to identify him with the help of Spartanburg police, according to an incident report.

The report said the surveillance video and fingerprints helped them identify the man as Kevin Greer, 38.

Greer was arrested on Thursday and charged with armed robbery. He is being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center on $50,000 bond, according to the jail's website.
