Police: Traffic stop leads to mobile meth lab bust in Easley

EASLEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Four people have been charged after a traffic stop led to officers finding a mobile meth lab in a van, according to the Easley Police Department.

Police said they found the lab after they pulled over a white Chevy van on Highway 93 in Easley that had suspended plates and was uninsured.

Police were inventorying the van before towing it when they found a square bag with Drano in it along with a soda bottle with a pipe coming out of it, according to the incident report. The report said there was also a squirt bottle and a glass jar with crystals in it.

The officer said in the incident report that from his experience he recognized it as a mobile meth lab.

Travis John Kinnunen, 35; Justin Brent Thornton, 26; Amie Dianne Moore, 39; and James Edgar Hopkins, 41, were all charged with manufacturing methamphetamines and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police.
