UNA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Spartanburg County coroner said he is investigating the death of a 56-year-old woman who was found outside of a residence in Una on Tuesday.

Norma Jean Sanders had apparently been out all night in the cold on Monday before she died, according to the coroner, Rusty Clevenger.

Clevenger said the woman's body was found on Southstar Street in Una, but he said she was not found in her own yard.

Clevenger said the cause of death could be attributed to hypothermia but he is awaiting toxicology and microscopic results for a definitive cause.
