Greenville County schools return to a normal schedule Wednesday

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Greenville County School District said it would operate on regular schedule on Wednesday.

The district decided to delay school by three hours on Tuesday.

Spokesman Oby Lyles said temperature and wind chill are considered in making school closing and delay decisions.

Lyles said the district determined that temperatures at early morning bus pickup times would be slightly higher on Wednesday than they were on Tuesday.

School heating systems will run tonight on occupied mode to ensure schools are warm on Wednesday morning, and transportation staff will report early to check school buses, according to Lyles.
