LAURENS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Laurens County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for information after several businesses were burglarized in the county throughout the month of January.

Deputies say Tuesday morning,  three businesses in Cross Hill may have been victimized by a pair of thieves they believe are responsible for dozens of other burglaries throughout the Upstate.

"They need to be punished," said victim Nancy King. "I think as long as they get away with it, they're going to continue to do the same thing."

Lt. Judy Stiles said the sheriff's office has increased patrol in Waterloo and Cross Hill after three businesses were robbed in each area.

Stiles released footage from one of the incidents early this month, asking the public for help identifying the person seen in it.

Anyone with information about the person in the video is asked to call the Laurens County Sheriff's Office at 864-984-4967 or Crime Stoppers at 864-68-CRIME.
