CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney said during a Saturday media conference that winning the 2014 Discover Orange Bowl was a big deal for the Tigers.

The Tigers defeated Ohio State in Miami on Jan. 3 to end the season at 11-2.

Swinney said during the season wrap conference in the West End Zone at Memorial Stadium that he was disappointed that both losses this season were during major rivalry games.

The Tigers fell to conference rival Florida State in October, and then fell to in-state rival South Carolina in November.

Swinney said one of the big issues he's focusing on ahead of the 2014 season is cutting down the number of turnovers. Dabo said turnovers were "what kept them from getting to Pasadena" for the national championship game this season.

Swinney said he wasn't surprised by the number of juniors like Sammy Watkins who are entering the NFL draft instead of completing their senior year.

Swinney said he was sad to see players like Watkins and outgoing senior Tahj Boyd leaving the team, but he said the departures wouldn't affect Clemson's recruiting class very much.

Dabo said he's considering four potential candidates to replace Boyd as quarterback, and he says he is considering playing two quarterbacks next season.
