SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

More than 200 volunteers gathered from across the state to search for a missing Spartanburg County man Saturday.

Spartanburg County deputies said Chad Lowe was last seen Jan. 4, but his missing Toyota Corolla and a shopping bag with personal items was found in Chesnee on Thursday.

Lowe may have stopped taking his medication, which resulted in confusion, according to the sheriff's office.

Volunteers from the Chesnee and Mayo Fire Departments, Chesnee Police, Spartanburg County residents, and various dog search teams from the area gathered outside Lowe's home on Carolina Oaks Drive in the Mayo area.

Volunteers organized search teams and combed the surrounding areas Sunday afternoon.

Search leaders said they hadn't found any leads as of 3:30 p.m.

Anyone with information about Lowe's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.
