GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County deputies are asking the public for help after a car that was left running outside a business was stolen.

According to Master Deputy Jonathan Smith, on Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. the victim left her 2004 gray Toyota Sequoia running in front of the Spinx gas station at 549 Standing Springs Rd.

The victim went into the store for a short time, and when she returned the car was gone, Smith said.

In security video from Spinx, a light colored 4-door car pulled up beside the Sequoia, and someone is seen jumping into the SUV and backing out of the parking spot.

Smith said no one saw who stole the vehicle.

Investigators ask anyone who recognizes the person or suspect vehicle in the video to call Crime Stoppers at 864-23-CRIME.
