Police: Man charged after 'Greenville News' building broken into

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A man has been charged after the Greenville News building was reportedly broken into late on Monday night.

According to a police report, officers were dispatched to the building on Main Street where they met four witnesses who said a man was roaming around the second floor.

A witness said he heard noise coming from the old plate rooms and then saw a man running towards him, the report stated.

The report said the witness then ran into his office and turned off the lights.

According to the police report the man went to several cubicles and attempted to open drawers and shuffled papers.

Police said they located the man in the parking garage where he was placed under arrest.

According to online jail records Stephon Tabray Willet is charged with second-degree violent burglary in connection with the incident and he is being held on $10,000 bond.
