DOUGLAS, AZ (CBS5) -

Two men were arrested in separate incidents on suspicion of trying to smuggle a combined 591 pounds of marijuana through the Port of Douglas.

On Sunday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers selected for inspection of a SUV driven by a 22-year-old man from Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico.

Officers said they found 113 packages of marijuana, weighing more than 215 pounds, stashed throughout the vehicle.

On Friday, officers referred a 32-year-old man from Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico for further inspection of his pickup truck and found close to 376 pounds of marijuana.

The drugs were concealed in the cab's undercarriage and in front of the vehicle.

Both men were arrested and referred to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.

The marijuana and vehicles were seized.
