GREER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greer police and the Greenville County Sheriff's Office are investigating a vehicle theft after a man was spotted driving a vehicle belonging to the Thornblade Golf Club Thursday.

Lt. Jim Holcombe with the Greer Police Dept. said a Thornblade manager was driving to work when he noticed a strange man driving one of the golf club's fleet vehicles and called police.

Holcombe said police officers caught up to the truck and were able to get the driver to pull over at the Hot Spot on Buncombe Road at Hammett Bridge Road.

Holcombe said officers determined the truck had been stolen and said the driver was taken into custody.

The Greenville County Sheriff's office is investigating the theft.

The suspect's name and identity have not been released.
