PICKENS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A 68-year-old man was arrested on Thursday in connection with a bank robbery in Pickens earlier in the week.

The Pickens Police Department said Brent C. McClauren was arrested at the Travelers Inn Motel on Chalmers Road just before 1:30 on Thursday.

Detectives were led to the motel from an anonymous tip, police said.

On Tuesday, a man walked into the SunTrust Bank on W Cedar Rock Street and gave the teller a note demanding money, police said at the time of the robbery. They said the man got an undisclosed amount of cash and walked out.

Pickens Police Department detectives were assisted by Greenville County deputies and FBI agents in the case.
