SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Roebuck man has been charged with DUI after a deputy said the man's truck crossed the center line and almost hit him head on.

On Thursday night, the deputy said in the incident report he went into a ditch off Walnut Grove Road after the pickup truck crossed the center line.

The Spartanburg County deputy then pulled over the truck and identified the driver as 50-year-old Mark Dozier Lacey, according to the incident report.

The deputy said that Lacey had glassy eyes, slurred speech and had difficulty keeping his balance. According to the deputy Lacey was too impaired to perform the field sobriety tasks.

At the detention center Lacey took a breath test that showed a .28 percent BrAC (breath alcohol content,) according to the incident report.
