Poor weather conditions are being blamed for a single-car crash that sent a woman to the hospital around 3:40 p.m. on Saturday.
Capt. Bill Dunn of the Amherst Fire Department told CBS 3 that the woman's vehicle slid off of Bay Road into the woods and collided with a tree.
Rescue workers had to pry open the vehicle with a machine to remove the woman.
Dunn said she was taken to Cooley Dickinson Hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The woman was the only occupant in the vehicle.
Dunn said first responders dealt with numerous minor crashes in that area throughout the day due to slick roads.
