GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville police said two men were arrested after they were caught trying to steal copper from a power unit Sunday morning, and one of them injured an officer while trying to get away.

Police posted on their Facebook page that an officer on patrol along Laurens Road spotted the men trying to steal the metal.

The men took off running when they spotted the officer, but he was able to run after them and catch one of the men, police said. They said the man tried to resist arrest, injuring the officer.

The second man was caught by another officer, police said.

According to police, Adam Chastain, 31, and Arin Chastain, 24, were charged with injury to real property obtaining metals, possession of burglary tools and interfering with police. Adam Chastain was also charged with resisting arrest while assaulting a police officer.

Police posted that the officer had minor injuries and was doing OK.
