GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Police said a Greenville man is accused of sexually assaulting a teen he was tutoring.

According to police, the 16-year-old victim reported that he was tutored by 29-year-old Ronique Staley at McAlister Square.

According to the arrest warrant, Staley was going to drive the victim home, but he performed a sex act on the teen against his will.

According Johnathan Bragg with the Greenville Police Department, Staley drove a car that had a sign on the side that read, "Need a Tutor?" and had a phone number to call.

Police said they checked with the Greenville County School District and Staley was not affiliated. Bragg said they believe Staley was a private tutor. He also said the victim did was not a Greenville County student.

Bragg said Staley advertised his tutoring service online. FOX Carolina is working to determine if he was currently employed by any other education organizations in the Upstate.

Staley was arrested and charged with criminal sexual conduct first-degree.
