Black ice poses problem for mountains, with more cold coming

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Thursday morning will be very cold in the teens and 20s area-wide, and black ice will be an issue in the mountains.

Another cold front will move through during the day, and that will cause windy conditions and bring colder air for Thursday night.

Overnight lows on Thursday night will drop to 6 in the mountains and 13 for the Upstate, which is nearly 20 degrees below normal.

A deep freeze will arrive on Friday, as highs will struggle to reach 32 in the Upstate and 25 for the mountains.  Temperatures will warm up slightly through the weekend, but we'll still be colder than normal.
