BELTON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Belton police said they have arrested a juvenile accused of breaking into a woman's home Friday morning and pointing a gun at her.

Police Chief Tommy Clamp Jr. said about 7 a.m., a Brown Street homeowner encountered someone inside her home. He said the intruder came in the back door to her kitchen, grabbed the woman's purse then left.

The woman looked out the window at the man and he pointed a gun at her, police said. They said when the woman screamed, the man ran off. Officers and Anderson County deputies with search dogs responded, but have not yet located the man.

Clamp said officers were able to follow up on leads and locate a juvenile suspect. He said they arrested the minor without incident.
