GREER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Greer man took advantage of the cold temperatures and turned his front yard into a winter wonderland on Saturday.

While snow was falling in parts of the Western North Carolina mountains Saturday morning, Craig Muller came up with his own plan to play in the snow in the Upstate.

He said he used three homemade snow blowing machines to transform his yard.

"I hook a pressure washer to a fitting and it sends streams of water out of three other fittings," Muller said. "I hook an air compressor to the other fitting which sends powerful air out of the bottom fitting. The air shoots up causing the water to shoot up and then the water falls back down through the cold air, producing snow."

Muller said the temperature and humidity have to be right for his snow machines to churn out snowflakes. "I go by what they call wet bulb temperate," he said. "It's a reading of the temperature and humidity combined."

Muller said the snow was up to six inches deep in some areas of his yard.
