JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jury selection begins in a Hinds County courtroom this afternoon for a woman charged with helping to arrange unlicensed buttocks injections.

Prosecutors say a Georgia woman died as a result.
Natasha Stewart, of Memphis, also known as 'Pebbelz da Model', is accused of depraved-heart murder and other charges in the death of 37-year-old Karima Gordon, of Atlanta.

Authorities say Gordon died from blood clots in her lungs days after being injected with a silicone-type substance.

Prosecutors say Gordon paid Stewart $200 for a referral to the suspected injector.

According to the Associated Press, Stewart has pleaded not guilty. Her lawyers have declined comment due to a gag order.

The suspected injector, Tracey Lynn Garner, who was born male but now lives as a woman, is charged with giving the injections at a house here in Jackson. She is scheduled for trial in March.
