UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Union police said the Walmart store chose not to prosecute a man seen stealing milk, bread and a few other items Tuesday as snow started to move in.

Police said they were called to the North Duncan Bypass store about 1:20 p.m. after an employee noticed a shoplifter on surveillance.

According to the police report, a man is seen on camera putting a gallon of milk, a pack of chips, Axe body spray and french bread into a grocery bag, walk around the store then leave without paying for the $10.77 worth of items.

The employee told police he could not stop the man because he did not have any selection of the items available.

The worker did get the man's tag number, but said he did not want to prosecute but just needed to file the report, police said.
