A 22-year-old man was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for multiple sex crimes involving minors on Thursday, Solicitor Chrissy Adams announced.
Jessie Wayne Davis was convicted of multiple counts of first-degree and third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor. Judge Alex Macaulay sentenced Davis to life behind bars.
According to Adams, on Jan. 4, 2013, officers responded to a call regarding the sexual assault of two minors, ages 6 and 10, at a Westminster home that Davis had access to.
The solicitor said the victims showed injuries from sexual trauma, and Davis gave incriminating statements when talking to officers.
"Preying on innocent children is the most despicable thing an individual can do," said Solicitor Adams.
"Today, we put a child molester behind bars because these two brave children did what can sometimes be difficult for a child to do and that is tell an adult about their abuse and confront their attacker in court," Adams said.
