BOILING SPRINGS, SC (AP) -

The South Carolina High School League is suspending Georgetown basketball signee L.J. Peak and South Carolina football prospect Shaq Davidson for their roles in a fight between their Gaffney High basketball team and Boiling Springs.

Gaffney High announced their three-game suspensions on its athletic Twitter account Friday. Peak and Davidson were both still on the floor at the end of the game last week when ejections depleted Gaffney's bench to four players following the brawl that saw players from both benches involved. Gaffney played the overtime 3-on-5 when one of the remaining players fouled out.

The Indians won 83-81 when Peak hit the game-winning basket with 6 seconds left.

The 6-foot-5 Peak signed in November to play with the Hoyas. Davidson is expected to sign with the Gamecocks on Wednesday.
