TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A wanted truck driver was arrested south of Tucson last night.

The man, 50-year-old Salvador Ibarra, was wanted for criminal threats and making annoying phone calls.

The charges are related to many instances of threatening phone calls to various State of California employees regarding child support and his relationship with his child's mother.

Since March 2011, Ibarra had made phone calls, threatening to shoot government officials, innocent bystanders and even his child and the child's mother.

Officials received information that Ibarra was working in southern AZ and Mexico as a truck driver. He is a permanent resident of Mexico.

US Border Patrol was alerted and they arrested Ibarra at an I-19 checkpoint.

Ibarra was transported to the Santa Cruz County Detention Center by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Department until his transfer to CA to face his charges.
