DUNCAN, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said David Redding was driving a white Mercedes along I-85 North near Highway 290 in Duncan when they initiated the traffic stop.

Deputies said Redding was jittery and having trouble speaking.

Deputies said they found nine Ziploc bags containing what appeared to be crystal meth, two Alprazolam pills that were listed as a schedule 4 narcotic and scales in the car after Redding gave them permission to search it.

Redding told deputies he had bought the drugs in Greenville and was planning to sell them in Spartanburg, according to reports.

Deputies said Redding was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamines Second offense, Possession of Schedule 4 Narcotics, Driving Under Suspension Third Offense, and other traffic citations.
