GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Friends, family, food and football were found at Super Bowl parties across the country Sunday night. The same was found under a Greenville bridge in Tent City.

As many people watched as the Seattle Seahawks won the big game on FOX Carolina, the crews wanted to share Super Bowl XLVIII with a Greenville community that doesn't even have electricity.

FOX Carolina crews tested equipment early Sunday, with an antenna and a 20-inch TV.

Residents of Tent City, most of whom are day laborers or some down on their luck in finding work, were surprised to see a television when they got home.

To most Super Bowl party veterans, it's the food that makes a good party. Wing Zone donated wings and celery with dressing, which was delivered to the effort. The wings were heated up on coals at the base of a trash can fire. Chips and cookies rounded out the festivities.

"We were wondering where we were going to watch the game. We don't really like to go to town, watch the game, so that was a blessing," said one Tent City resident, Kenneth.

Hearing the game echo off the underside of the Pete Hollis Boulevard Bridge created a unique form of surround sound. The digital signal was lost in the last minute of the game.

But most attendees said it was the camaraderie of watching the game together, and getting to watch the game at "home."

"The guys need something they can focus on. You know what I mean? And that right there, they love football. You hear them talk about football all the time," said Lisa, who lives in Tent City.

No matter who these football fans cheered for, the Super Bowl party was a success.
