PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Jerice Hunter, the Glendale mother charged with first-degree murder in the death of her 5-year-old daughter, will be back in Maricopa County Superior Court for another status conference hearing April 4.

The date was set by Judge Rosa Mroz during a status conference Monday.

Hunter is accused of killing Jhessye Shockley and disposing of her body in a Tempe Dumpster as many as two weeks before reporting Jhessye missing in October 2011. Jhessye's body still has not been found.

Family members who raised Jhessye for the first four years of her life have filed a notice of claim with Child Protective Services, saying the agency was grossly negligent by returning Jhessye to her mother.

Hunter is also charged with child abuse, and she has maintained her innocence since the child disappeared.

Hunter's actual trial is not expected to get underway until August 2014.
