UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Union County deputies said they were trying to arrest a man who entered a home without permission but he resisted, spitting on officers, threatening them and kicking out a patrol car's window.

According to the sheriff's office report, deputies were called to a Buffalo Street home in Buffalo about 1:45 a.m. Monday after Jaran Harris, 26, was trying to get into the victim's home without permission.

Harris was found inside the home after climbing through an unlocked bathroom window, deputies said. The victim told deputies she did not want Harris in her home and feared for her safety.

When deputies tried to handcuff Harris, they said he tensed up, tried jerking away from them while saying he wasn't going to jail. The report also stated he threatened to harm them.

Once deputies placed Harris in the back of a patrol car, they said he kicked at them and spit on them then began to kick the rear passenger window. The report stated that Harris was able to shatter the window and damage the door frame.

He continued to say he'd keep kicking and "black their eye," according to the report.

That's when deputies drive stunned him then further restrained him before taking him to jail, according to the report.

The report stated warrants would be sought on Harris for resisting arrest, malicious damage to a county car, spitting on law enforcement officers and criminal domestic violence. Harris is being held at the Union County jail.
