PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A former Phoenix police officer accused of having sex with a 17-year-old girl he met through a social media website has pleaded not guilty.

Justin Francis LaClere, of Gilbert, entered the plea in Maricopa County Superior Court to one count of luring a minor for sexual exploitation and one count of sexual conduct with a minor.

Scottsdale police said LaClere met the girl through a cell phone application called Whisper. The app allows users to anonymously upload pictures with text written across them. Other users on the app can "like" the images, comment and private message other users.

Court paperwork states the 17-year-old victim uploaded a picture of a baby with the text, "I want to get pregnant, but I'm only a teen," written across the image

LaClere is suspected of using Jason69er as a username on the site and corresponded with the girl, allegedly asking her age in his first message. She told Jason69er she was 17.

Police accused LaClere of having sex with the girl at her family's Scottsdale home while they were away.

LaClere, a seven-year veteran of the Phoenix Police Department, resigned after his arrest in January.
