Showers will push into the Upstate and mountains Tuesday morning, and temperatures will be much colder through the day.
Highs will only reach the 40s area-wide, and the wind will gust between 20 and 30 miles per hour.
Rain showers will move in from the South through the morning hours. By 8 a.m., the southern half of the Upstate started to see a few scattered showers, with scattered rain forecast to move into the area for everyone by mid-day.
The wet weather will stick around off and on through Tuesday night. There will be some periods of moderate rain through Wednesday morning but it is forecast to clear out by the afternoon.
Highs on Wednesday will reach the 60s for the Upstate and northeast Georgia.
Thursday will bring a break from the rain, but it may return with the chance for some light snow moving in Friday. While the possible winter weather is not forecast to cause any issues in the Upstate, a few flakes may be seen.
