ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An ordinance concerning the selling of animals in Anderson County was passed in its final reading on Tuesday night.

The ordinance passed with four votes for and two against.

According to the ordinance, people who attempt to sell dogs or cats in the county must now provide proof of vaccination and treatment for intestinal parasites.

The Anderson County council began discussing the issue in August after an alleged puppy mill was busted in the county.
