Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will blow through the area Wednesday morning, making the morning commute a soggy, and potentially foggy, one for drivers.
The rain should clear by lunchtime, leaving behind a mostly sunny and mild afternoon in the 60s for the Upstate.
The wind will gust to 30 miles per hour in the Upstate and near 40 in the mountains. But the warmer weather will not last too long, as Thursday will be colder.
Mostly sunny skies will only help the area warm into the 40s for the Upstate and 30s in the mountains on Thursday.
The weekend is looking drier than previously thought. There is a 50 percent chance of rain on Saturday and 30 percent chance on Sunday.
