GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
After airing a story about a new trend of some people walking at their desk using a special treadmill, FOX Carolina was contacted by an Upstate retailer who sells the treadmill desk.
Treadmill Warehouse in Spartanburg brought two models of its desks by FOX Carolina on Tuesday to demonstrate how they work and how people can use them to stay fit and efficient at work.
The different models offer varying options, including a desk that will rise and lower depending on the person's height and how long they can be used throughout the work day.
"Recently there has been a trend in offices to stand up at work stations," said Treadmill Warehouse owner Bob McKenna. "It's healthier, you're moving a little bit more, especially on the phone you're more lively."
Both Cody Alcorn and Diana Watson were able to read the news during a portion of The Ten O'Clock News on Tuesday while walking and jogging on the treadmills. Click here to see how the did.
For more information on the desks, contact Treadmill Warehouse at 864-921-0647.
