SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies are hoping to identify a man and woman they said are swiping price tags to try to pay less for items at some Upstate Target stores.

The pair switch out the higher price with a lower price tag then try to buy the items for much less, according to Lt. Tony Ivey with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said the two have gotten away with one purchase after the swap during the holidays.

Ivey said the pair have been price swapping at Target stores in Greer and Spartanburg, but they have not yet been identified.

Deputies have released surveillance photos of the man and woman along with photos of two possible vehicles they may drive. Deputies said they have been seen in a white pickup truck and/or a gray Camry with a folded up 45-day paper tag.

He said the stores plan to file reports once they are identified.

Anyone who can identify them is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or 864-503-4509.
