BELTON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Police are investigating after an armed robbery at an apartment complex in Belton at about 3 p.m. Friday.

Chief Tommy Clamp told FOX Carolina it was reported three men rolled up to an apartment complex on Campbell Street in Belton, and one man got out wearing a mask and was armed with a gun, which Clamp said was possibly a paintball gun.

Clamp said the man then entered a woman's apartment, wearing a mask, while brandishing the weapon and demanded money.

Neighbors heard the victim scream and called 911.

Police said the two men in the vehicle fled without the other man, who they said fled on foot and possibly got into the vehicle later.

Clamp said no suspects are in custody at this time.

Forensics has been called to the active scene at the apartment complex on Campbell Road.
