Two men have been charged with attempted murder after police said the victim was found bleeding from his ears.

On Super Bowl Sunday, police responded to a home on Pennwood Drive in Spartanburg where a disturbance was reported. A lieutenant on scene said she saw a man run into the home, but the man was not located and the two people at the scene did not know who he was.

Police then left the scene.

A short time later they returned to the scene after they received a call from the victim who said he was in the back yard of the house hiding from two men who were trying to kill him, according to the incident report.

Police located the victim hiding behind some trash cans and was seen bleeding from his ears, police said. They said he was also having trouble breathing and standing.

When asked what happened the victim told police "they tried to kill me" while pointing at the home on Pennwood drive.

Nurses said the victim suffered a ruptured spleen, a broken left forearm and a collapsed lung, according to police.

According to police reports and online jail records, Brian Durrah and Travis Wilkins have been charged with the attempted murder of the victim.
